Nashville Top Talent to Headline Free Event at Curtis Hixon Park on October 6, 2018

TAMPA, FL - On Saturday, October 6, the Event Development Institute (EDI) and the Tampa Bay Sports Commission will turn Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park into the ultimate tailgate party for the Fifth Annual Tampa Bay’s Tailgate Taste Fest presented by Coca Cola Beverages Florida. The FREE, family- and dog-friendly festival will open at 3:00pm and continue through 10:30pm with live musical performances going all day long.

Event organizers announced the full band line-up over Labor Day Weekend. The outdoor concert will be headlined by country music stars Craig Campbell and Jimmie Allen with special performances by Skyler Clark and Randy McNeeley. A full event timeline with stage times can be found on Tampa Bay’s Tailgate Taste Fest’s website, www.TailgateTasteFest.com.

“We are incredibly excited to raise the bar this year at Tampa Bay’s Tailgate Taste Fest by bringing in nationally recognized country music artists Jimmie Allen and Craig Campbell to perform” says Jenna Grooms, Event Manager for the Tampa Bay Sports Commission’s Event Development Institute. “Our event attendees will not only get to play corn hole, sample foods from our participating restaurants and mingle with their friends over an ice-cold Bud Light, but they will be able to attend a FREE concert in the park, which is a rare opportunity! This event grows every year and this year is no exception.”

Event entertainment will also include a 16-team corn hole tournament, kid-friendly inflatables and games in the Fan Zone with local sports franchises and the showing of the day’s best college football matchups on the event’s two large-scale LED screens. Starting at 7:00pm, broadcast of the Tampa Bay Lightning home opener against the Panthers will also be shown.

Food sample wristbands and Very Important Tailgater (VIT) packages are available for purchase online now as well as on site the day of the event.
